I love taking pictures, but the thing is, I don’t know how to take it. You know, like the technicality of it? White balance, focus, etc. etc. I take photos because I see things differently.

I don’t think I’m a good photographer, or one at all sometimes. For three years now.

It takes time to become what you want to be. You may need the tools, but you need the patience, the time, the learning, the passion.

Fuck that, you’ve gotta have the passion, the insight, the love for it, the eyes to see past what you’re taking a picture of. Just because you have the camera, don’t think you’re automatically a photographer.

I was twelve when I started to want to be a photographer. But I didn’t get a fancy ass camera right then and there. I had to wait three years for my camera. I used my hand cameras for three years, developed my artistic insight, and looked past what I was taking a picture of. I was developing why I was taking a picture of, what it meant to me, and what it means.

Now I have my Olympus E-600, and I’m still not the photographer I want to be.
